Domains Section in cPanel

In cPanel, the Domains section is where you manage all website domains and how they connect to your hosting account. Here’s a simple explanation of what you’ll usually find there:

cPanel Domains Section – Main Features

  1. Domains

    • Add new domains (addon domains)

    • Manage existing domains

    • Set the document root (folder where site files live)

    • Create subdomains and parked/alias domains (in newer cPanel versions, all are managed here)

  2. Subdomains

    • Create subdomains like:
      blog.example.com shop.example.com

    • Each subdomain points to its own folder

  • Aliases (Parked Domains)

    • Point multiple domains to the same website

    • Example:

      example.net → example.com

  •
  • Redirects

    • Redirect one URL to another

    • Temporary (302) or permanent (301) redirects

    • Useful for site moves or domain changes

  • Zone Editor

    • Manage DNS records:

      • A (IP address)

      • CNAME

      • MX (email)

      • TXT (verification, SPF, DKIM)

    • Used for domain verification and email setup

  • SSL/TLS Status
